Gooseberry Pico

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz Cape gooseberries diced
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp pickled shallots
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp avocado oil

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and gently stir with a spoon.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Stir again and taste for seasoning.
  4. Adjust seasoning to personal preference.
  5. You may also add thinly sliced jalapeƱos or other peppers for some heat.
