Gooseberry Pico

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz Cape gooseberries diced
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp pickled shallots
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp avocado oil

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and gently stir with a spoon.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Stir again and taste for seasoning.
  • Adjust seasoning to personal preference.
  • You may also add thinly sliced jalapeƱos or other peppers for some heat.
